Sale of Buan New and Renewable Energy Complex… KRW

Writer administ Posted at 2010-08-30
According to Yonhap News,

The site for industrial facilities of Buan New and Renewable Energy Complex (356,000 square meters) in Baengnyeon-ri, Haseo-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeonbuk-do (North Jeolla Province) will be on sale starting from September.

Jeonbuk-do said on August 26th that the sale will start on September 27th at the price of KRW 227,000 per 3.3 square meters (1 pyeong) based on the building cost.

The industrial site of 71,000 square meters is subject to sale.

The parcel price is 40 to 50 percent lower than other industrial complexes, since the national subsidy, which accounts for 80 percent of the complex construction cost (KRW 100 billion) is excluded from the building cost.

If the industrial site is sold smoothly, factory construction is likely to start in November.

Buan New and Renewable Energy Complex is the first theme park in Korea which will house related companies and research institutes to develop new green energy technologies and enable people to experience those technologies. The base construction is completed 70 percent, while the interior construction is completed over 80 percent since it started this spring.

Jeonbuk have already signed investment MOUs with about 20 companies including Sebang Global Battery, BeeBong E&G, and Sunglim Tech.

An official of the province said “the prospect for attracting companies is very rosy since the parcel price is relatively low and the site for new and renewable energy within Saemangeum will be organically linked with the energy complex,” and added “various incentives will be offered to move-in companies, as it is the first specialized complex in solar energy, wind power, and hydrogen fuel cell component materials, which will receive support from research, demonstration, and evaluation institutions in the field.”
