According to Yonhap News,
International Yacht Race will be held off Mokpo and Jeju in October.
Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation of Daebul University (head Choi Mi-sun) said on August 15th that International Yacht Race will be held for four days starting from October 22nd. The race will be from the Port of Mokpo to the Jeju Port of Dodu.
Around 40 yachts will be engaged in an intense competition for the total prize money of KRW 32.5 million.
Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation head Choi Mi-sun said “this yacht race is very meaningful since it lays the foundation for new yacht race courses linking Mokpo and Jeju and pioneers the underwater KTX line between Mokpo and Jeju in advance on the sea.”
