Jeonnam-do Expands Prize Money for Company Attract

Writer administ Posted at 2010-08-16
According to Yonhap News,

Jeonnam-do (South Jeolla Province) said on August 11th that the prize money for local residents who attracted companies to the region would go significantly up to KRW 200 million.

This is because the province has analyzed that aggressive participation of residents is needed to lure more companies to the region as well as organic cooperation among related institutes and organizations, the economic circle, academia, and the financial circle.

Accordingly, Jeonnam-do has doubled the prize money for civilians who attracted companies to the province from KRW 100 million to KRW 200 million by revising the Enforcement Regulation of the Jeonnam-do Domestic and Foreign Companies and Capital Investment Attraction Support Ordinance.

The province also provides incentives to civilians and public servants who offer corporate investment information, leading to actual investment.

The province has paid prize money and incentives to civilians and company attraction committees of small districts (eup, myeon, and dong) in the region. So far, 11 committees have been awarded prize money of up to KRW 10 million, and 42 civilians have received KRW 19 million.
