Yeongam-gun Won Grand Prize in Local Government Ev

According to Yonhap News,
Yeongam-gun, South Jeolla Province said on July 14th that it received the grand prize, the best honor, in the 15th Korea Local Government Evaluation, organized by Korea Institute for Public Autonomy.
Yeongam-gun was highly rated as it has created a framework for Yeongam tourism with ‘Yeongam Arirang,’ a musical performed on water against Mt. Wolchul, Gichan Land, a Baduk theme park, and Gurim village tourist attractions. The region has expanded infrastructure for Daebul National Industrial Complex and aggressively attracted companies, leading the growth of the regional economy and industries.
Yeongam’s outstanding policies were favorably evaluated such as the projects to make beautiful and happy Yeongam and to resolve inconveniences of everyday life, and Wangin Academy. Those projects have contributed to improving quality of life in the region.
