According to Yonhap News,
Wind power solutions provider Unitech Power Systems is to sign an agreement to invest KRW 10 million to build its headquarters and production lines in South Jeolla at the provincial government complex on January 28.

Unitech Power Systems will check conditions for wind power generation in Youngam and invest KRW 106.7billion to relocate its main office to the region by 2012.

It will also build a production plant for 1.8-12MW Wind Tower Systems. Unitech Power Systems, which has been headquartered in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, is a wind power solutions provider that produces 300KW wind tower systems.

The wind tower systems have louvers to draw wind from six different directions, which makes wind spiral and spin turbines in a more efficient and powerful way. If a gushing wind blows, a large value opens automatically and unleashes the wind to protect the tower and turbines.

In addition, the wind tower system can be applied in various forms in farms and coastal areas as well as cities.

The provincial government expects the system can be utilized in various government-sponsored programs including “one million green home project.”
